Y’all I am STRESSED. I do not think I will ever find a job in the law field. It is so disheartening.
I submit hundreds of applications a day, just to hear nothing back or a rejection.
Out of all those applications, I had one interview. & my first interview had me left in defeat. The applications have me in defeat. I am in defeat.
I know it is hard to get a job, but I have never had this much difficulty. Prior to this, I worked in the ABA field, which has a high turnover and demand, so I was basically just given a job. Not really, and we will discuss the qualifications to be an ABA practitioner another time. It was NOT hard though, in fact it was too easy.
My friends have also had a difficult time finding a job, ending up in fields they are overqualified for. It is a shame, but a job is a job. I am deciding if I want to branch out and explore a new field. I will still apply to law jobs, but something in the meantime idk. I am debating and most likely will apply to law school. It feels like my only option at this time.

Pls let me know if anyone else has had a similar issue. I don’t feel like I am alone, but it would be nice to know!
I don’t know, it feels like it is all hopeless. What’s the use?
Unfortunately, depression kicked my ass then and screwed me over now. I lost so many opportunities due to the ailments of the illness. I am trying to make up for what should have been done then, now. It is a lot. I am committed though.
If anyone is hiring, please let me know. A girl needs a job!!
But truly, why is it so hard to get a job?
ABC News lists a few reasons, including cut backs on hiring and the use of Artificial Intelligence(AI). The tariffs and economic pressures like inflation are other contributors (CNBC).
AI affects the hiring process in two ways. First, it is used as an automated resume screening, which tends to reject the majority of applicants. Personally, I opt out of this. The second way is simply just replacing jobs, swapping people for AI. I see a big issue with this in a lot of roles, and a lot of frustration in response.
Lots of people submit their resume to the same job, sometimes hundreds. In my recent experiences, some posts have 50-100 applicants. There are too many qualified people applying to the same job(s). This leads to a lower response rate.
If you are searching, keep applying. Keep setting up and going to interviews, the more experience the better!
